Our 30th Anniversary this past October.

me3scaledWhat kind of year was 2012 for you? For Annie and I, it was a year of adventure. When 2012 opened, I had just retired from the police department. We were packing and prepping to go to Brazil. Our six months in South America were incredible! We were working with our two C3 Churches in Brazil, helping the pastors develop their leadership teams. Annie and I made some great friends and can’t wait to get back to Brazil! If you missed any of our Brazil adventures, just look over on the right side of the blog and click on “Brazil Updates” under Categories.

Another exciting thing that took place in 2012 was that my blog got a facelift. My friends at Historymakers helped me redesign and upgrade DavidSpell.com. They are incredibly creative people and I am grateful for their friendship. If you like the site and enjoy what you see here, why not subscribe to the blog? It is free and ensures that every post will come straight to your email.

I released my fifth book in 2012. This was my first try at creating an e-book and I was very pleased withBook Cover- Leading into the 21st Century...and Beyond the results. If you have not seen Leading into the 21st Century…and Beyond, I encourage you to check it out. I don’t think you will be disappointed. Plus, reading a good book is always a good way to start a new year! If you have missed any of my other books, they are listed on the side of the blog. Have a look!

At Thanksgiving, we got to celebrate with both of our daughters and their husbands. This was the first time that we had all been together in over a year. We had a wonderful Connecticut Thanksgiving. It is easy to take our loved ones for granted. I was so thankful to be with my wife and children for at least one of the big holidays!

As 2013 opens, it is kind of like “deja vu, all over again.” Annie and I are again prepping to go to Brazil. This time, we are hoping to have a permanent visa that will allow us to live and work there for a few years or more. There is such an incredible opportunity there to plant churches and reach Brazil for Christ. There is a spiritual hunger there and we want to be able to be in the right place at the right time to have the greatest impact for the Kingdom.

Would you please pray for Annie and I as we work towards fulfilling God’s plan for our lives? If you would like to help financially, the link is below. If there is some way that we can pray for you, please let us know. We value your friendship and appreciate your encouragement!

If you would like to help us have an impact in Brazil, here is the link. Obrigado! (Thank you!)
