This past weekend Annie and I visited our good friends at C3 Church Santos. They were having their very first Every Woman Conference and Annie had been asked to speak. We also took some other good friends, Erick and Vanessa Stocchero with us. Pastor Dani and her team had done an incredible job of putting this conference together. They had even kept Annie involved in the planning process, even though we live six hours away.

The results were amazing. They had over sixty women attend the two day event. About half of those ladies are unchurched. They came because a friend invited them. One girl got up during the conference and gave her reason for coming. She said, “I don’t go to church but my friend who goes to C3 invited me to come. I would not have come  except that I have seen such a change in my friend since she started coming to church. I wanted to come and see what it was about.”

Annie spoke at the opening session on Friday night. On Saturday, Pastor Jill Sweetman spoke by video. Pastor Dani closed things out on Saturday afternoon. Besides having great teaching and worship, they played games, had a session on fashion, enjoyed a clothing swap, and had some fantastic food.

On Sunday night, Erick preached a great message at C3 Santos’ church service. Erick and Vanessa have become key team EWSantosmembers at C3 Curitiba and Pastor Fabio was excited to have them come and be a part of this great weekend. Erick’s preached from Mark 2 on Jesus’ healing of the lame man. This is always a great message but it was a great conclusion to the weekend. The lame man had four friends who brought him to get healed by Jesus. They could not get into the house where Jesus was because of the crowd so they dug a hole in the roof. They then lowered their friend down to Jesus.

The C3 Santos Every Woman Conference was an event that could have easily been just for the women of that church. Instead, many of them went and brought their friends into the house so that they could have an encounter with Jesus. Because of that encounter, their lives will never be the same.
