Fear- Part Two

“Fear not for I am with you.”

So, how do we get from fear, worry, anxiety, nervousness, or whatever other form it attacks us in to, “Fear not?” Throughout Scripture, God tells us to, “Fear not,” or “Don’t be afraid.” In almost ever case, though, He also says, “…for I am with you.”

If we can really get this truth in our hearts and minds, that God is with us, fear will begin to lose its power. I heard someone say recently, “Worry is temporary atheism.” It is easy to worry and let fear begin to infect our thoughts if we forget that God is with us.

I know circumstances and situations can be scary. I have to remind myself, however, that nothing can separate me from the love of God. He has promised that He causes all things to work for my God, because I love Him and am called according to His purpose.

I have never seen worry cause anything to change. Worrying does not cause any situation to get better. Faith, on the other hand, has the power to move mountains. A little faith in a Big God will accomplish amazing things!
