It Just Feels Like Home- C3 Church Culture

We recently led a four week course here at C3 Church Curitiba that highlighted the top ten values that define C3 Churches throughout the world. The class was developed from this short video in which Dr. Phil and Pastor Chris Pringle discuss these core values. As the team here in Brazil works to plant and adopt churches into the C3 Movement, we want to see these ten important values at the heart of every C3 Church.

1. Prayer. The Church was birthed out of a prayer meeting. It is important for believers to cultivate their own personal prayer life. When Bible reading is added to this, we have a recipe for success. The key to developing any spiritual discipline is consistency. A person who consistently spends ten minutes a day reading their Bible and praying is going to see their life transformed. There is a power in consistency that cannot be underestimated.

We also believe that corporate prayer is a must if we are to experience all God has for us. The book of Acts shows the early Church constantly praying together. When we pray together, it unites our focus, focuses our faith, and fills us with boldness. “And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give your servants great boldness in their preaching. Send your healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After this prayer, the building where they were meeting shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. And they preached God’s message with boldness. All the believers were of one heart and mind…”

2. Worship. Worship is the atmosphere of Heaven. When we worship God, we are bringing the environment of Heaven to earth. When we read The Revelation, the curtain is pulled back and we are allowed to glimpse what is going on in God’s Presence. It is unceasing worship and praise.

Worship has incredible power to impact people’s lives. The Holy Spirit works in the atmosphere of worship to break bondages and set people free. It is during worship that our hearts become open to hear God’s Word preached. Worship also has the ability to change our perspective. We all carry around things that have the potential to weigh us down. When we worship the almighty God and spend time in His presence, our problems tend to shrink a bit. In the natural, nothing may have changed. By worshipping God, however, I find that I have have changed.

Maybe you need a fresh touch from the Holy Spirit today. I would encourage you to take five minutes and enjoy this worship song from C3 Worship. Let the Holy Spirt bring refreshing and healing to those areas where you need His touch.

To be continued…

Would you consider being a part of our ministry in Brazil.? We would love to have you on our team! Obrigado! (Thanks!)
