“And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

I love the fact that Jesus didn’t say, “O you of little talent.”

I love that He didn’t say, “O you of little money or resources.”

He didn’t say, “O you of little education.”

He did rebuke Peter and the other disciples for having little faith. There are some things that we can’t control. Jesus seems to be saying that one of the things that we can control is our faith. He expects us to take active steps to strengthen and develop our faith.

1. Do you have things that you are actively believing God for? By constantly praying, believing, and trusting our faith is strengthened and developed.

2. Are you active in a great local church? Our faith is energized as we see God working in a bigger sphere than just our own lives.

3. Are you spending some quality time everyday in God’s Word? Paul said, “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” The promises of Scripture are powerful and are able to shift our thinking from doubt to faith.

What are some other ways that we can develop our faith?

Would you consider being a part of our ministry in Brazil.? We would love to have you on our team! Obrigado! (Thanks!)
